If the Transducer Head has gotten wet, let it air-dry and it may come back to life. No other maintenance is required. Do not touch the gold foil. It can be easily damaged. Do not pressure wash the bike with the Transducer mounted or it may be permanently damaged.
Be sure to keep the cable zip tied to the Transducer Head. This provides strain relief and keeps the wire from breaking.
> Wave-Guide Tubes
Disassemble and clean the Wave-Guide Tubes after every day of testing. It is helpful to have a long 5/8" bottle brush. Clean the Piston Ring as well.
> Wave-Guide Clamps
Disassemble and grease the transducer clamp o-rings periodically. They work very well as bearings and last a long time. Replacement o-rings are available at hardware stores (Buna N size -109).
