Check that there is clearance throughout the entire travel.
Mount the Transducer Wave-Guide Tube parallel to the forks.
Zip tie the wire cable to the Transducer Head with a big loop.
> There are two styles of transducers that work on the front.
1) 8" Travel Carbon/Carbon Tubes - Front or Rear Mounting
- Both upper and lower are carbon tubes.
- Note: Do not plug the end of the inner tube on Carbon/Carbon style tubes as it is an air vent.
2) 9" Travel Control Rod Tubes - Front Mounting ONLY!
This Transducer uses a metal "control" rod instead of the carbon lower tube. It is easier to mount on the front but is not suitable for rear mounting because it cannot handle side loads. The upper tube and the lower Control Rod can be mounted with standard hose clamps or zip ties.
> Upper Forks
Generally the easiest way to mount the top clamp is to zip tie it to the fork or handlebar. Use a bit of foam tape between the clamp and the tube to help keep it from moving up and down. It is OK to have a bit of side movement. Crisscrossing the zip ties is often helpful.
> Lower Forks
This example uses Carbon/Carbon tubes. The easiest mounting is Control Rod Style.
Generally the easiest way to mount the bottom clamp is to zip tie it to the fork. Use a bit of foam tape between the clamp and the tube to help keep it from moving up and down. It is OK to have a bit of side movement. Crisscrossing the zip ties is often helpful. (Sounds a lot like the instructions for the top mount doesn't it?.)
Connect the ShockClock to the Transducer. Zip tie any extra cable.
