8" travel tubes are good for most mountain bikes for both front and rear. If your bike has more travel use longer tubes.
There are two styles of transducers.
1) Standard Carbon/Carbon Tubes - Front or Rear Mounting Both upper and lower are carbon tubes.
8" Travel Wave-Guide Tubes. - Outer Wave-Guide - 320 mm (12.5") end to end. - Inner Wave-Guide - 275 mm (11") end to end.
If you are shortening 15” Tubes see 3.5 Shortening the Tubes. You can also purchase tubes pre-sized. See 1.4 Accessories.
2) Control Rod Tubes - Front Mounting ONLY! This Transducer uses a metal "control" rod instead of the standard carbon lower tube. It is easier to mount on the front but is not suitable for rear mounting because it cannot handle side loads. The upper tube and the lower Control Rod can be mounted with standard hose clamps or zip ties. |
